Yin Yoga
I’m an accredited yin teacher I have completed levels 1-3 with Sarah lo and assisted on trainings on many occasions, with over 360 training hours and many more teaching.
Yin is a slower style of yoga which involves holding poses for 3-5 minutes to allow the body to open up in a soft, patient and gentle way. Working into the deeper connective tissue(fascia) around the muscles and joints to improve flexibility, health and vitality of the whole body.
The chi (energy) in the body is stimulated to flow more freely to enable release of blockages on both physical and emotional levels. It’s an opportunity to create space in the body and mind using deep breathing, conscious awareness and feedback to explore your inner landscape and work on a deeper level into your whole system.
My classes offer you to be compassionate towards yourself and honour where your body is at on any given day. Allowing your body and mind to open up in curious but safe way to build trust which invites you deeper into the practice creating a feedback loop and giving the body permission to respond moment by moment.
Testimonial
“I love Fiona’s Yin classes. She is very knowledgeable and leads the practice with great compassion. Fiona gives her students the space to feel their own way into poses with autonomy. She has a wonderful empathy around the need for deep inner listening which is encouraged in a safe and empowering way.”
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our responses lies our growth and our freedom”

Yoga and Movement
I’m a 200 hour yoga alliance accredited Hatha teacher with experience teaching, Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle and Trauma sensitive yoga.
My approach is one that is accessible to every person, everyone is welcome in my classes. I believe that yoga is for everyBODY and there are always options no matter what. I’m very passionate about simple movements and repetition that creates an awareness of the body, nurtures that relationship, cultivating strength both inside and out whilst shifting the energetic field.
My moto is simplicity is key and never sacrifice form for depth.
I incorporate breathing(pranayama) into all of my classes to help prime, ground and open the whole being to help improve the benefits of asana(poses) on a much deeper physical, physiological and emotional levels.
I encourage you to honour exactly where your body is at with compassion, care and kindness.
